The chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ehsan Mani, has taken a dig at India who has always mixed politics with a game like a cricket.
India and Pakistan have always been opposed to each other since their independence. Hatred has risen to a peak that it has got mixed with cricket. Pakistan, however, opposed twice or thrice to play bilateral series to neighbors, the racist side denied.
Recently, Shoaib Akhtar, the Pakistani fast bowler, proposed an idea to hold a bilateral series to raise COVID-19 funds. He got criticized badly by Indians. However, the idea was supported by many Pakistanis, not to raise funds, but to reduce the friction of hatred among both.
Ehsan Mani is of the view that they are in no concern to hold a series with them as they have always mixed politics with cricket. Cricket is only a peace-loving game and we want peace, not politics.

“We have suffered losses but they (India) are not in our thinking or planning. It is like a Pie in the Sky situation. We have to live without them and we don’t need them to survive. I am clear if India doesn’t want to play we have to plan without them. Once or twice they have made promises to play against us but pulled out at the last moment,” Ehsan Mani said in a podcast released by the PCB’s media department.
“Right now we play against them (India) in ICC events and Asia Cup and that is okay because we are interested in playing cricket. We want to keep politics and sports apart,” he added.
Last time, when India and Pakistan faced each other in a bilateral series was back in 2012-13. Pakistan defeated India. Since then, no game between the arch-rivals except ICC mega-events has taken place.
