Quetta Gladiators got a huge blow as the former Pakistani Captain and legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi tested positive for COVID-19. Shahid Afridi will miss out on the first few games of the PSL 2022. He will complete a 7 days isolation period before joining the Quetta Gladiators squad after he gets a negative COVID-19 test.
The 1st match of the Quetta Gladiators is to be played against the Peshawar Zalmi on Friday, January 28th, 2022. Quetta Gladiator’s last match of the first phase of the PSL 2022 will be on February 7, 2022. Shahid Afridi is expected to play for the team in the 2nd phase of the tournament that will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
On the other hand, Peshawar Zalmi also has issues in their camp as their skipper Wahab Riaz and their batsman Haider Ali also got a positive COVID-19 test.
