In the last over bowled by Mithcell Starc, he got a blow by the ball on the forehead. He was performing well as he scored an unbeaten 44 on 23 balls. For the rest of the match, his place was taken by Yuzvendra Chahal.
The leg spinner replaced the all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and emerged as the player of the match with the figures of 3 for 25 in his 4 overs spell. Ravendra Jadeja’s place has been taken by Shardul Thakur who was a part of the ODI squad. There is no news on his reappearance in the Test series against Australia on December 17, 2020.
