QG vs PZ, The 2nd match of the HBL PSL 7 is Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi. The 2nd Match (PZ vs QG) of the 7th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2022) is to be played at the National Stadium, Karachi. The match will begin on Friday, January 28, 2022, at 7:00 PM PST, 07:30 PM IST, 02:00 AM GMT, 07:00 PM LOCAL.
The Quetta Gladiators were the lowest-performing team in the PSL 2021, having won just two matches in the entire competition. The pressure is on the team to improve this year.
All-rounder Shahid Afridi joined Quetta in a trade deal, and his experience will be needed to counterbalance that of bowler Sohail Tanvir and wicketkeeper Sarfaraz Ahmed, as will the runs of Ben Duckett, while Somerset batsman Will Smeed will be given a chance to make a mark at the top of the order.
A huge blow to Quetta Gladiators just two days before their first match as All-rounder Shahid Afridi tested positive for COVID-19 & is expected to come back at the Lahore leg of the PSL 2022. Peshawar Zalmi, last year’s beaten finalists, will be led by new head coach James Foster with one goal in mind in the PSL, win the tournament for the second time in their history.
Captain Wahab Riaz and batter Haider Ali tested positive for the Covid-19, so they are expected to be ruled out of this match, while veteran Kamran Akmal has also tested positive alongside Arshad Iqbal.
