ZIM vs BAN, The commander of the Bangladesh Cricket Team for the One-day Internationals has denounced his stepping down from the captaincy post straight after the termination of the ZIM vs BAN ODI series.
The ongoing ZIM vs BAN ODI match is the last match for Mashrafe Mortaza as the skipper. As a result of the wake of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announcement, Mashrafe has revealed that he will quit on captaincy after the Zimbabwe tour to Bangladesh ODI series to focus on his form and fitness.

“I am leaving the Bangladesh captaincy,”
The third ODI [ZIM vs BAN] is going to be my last game as captain. I took the decision myself. As a player, I will keep trying to give my best if I get the opportunity. I wish the next captain all the best.”
Mashrafe Mortaza, on the contrary, has clearly defined that he would be available for his selection as a player after working better on the form. Quitting from the captaincy doesn’t mean quitting from cricket.
“I am everything due to cricket. If I didn’t finish playing cricket, I would have been doing fish farming. My future definitely includes cricket, and if a player requires me, I will give it my best. I have to do my work in my constituency until the next election after ZIM vs BAN.”
Being Bangladesh’s most successful captain in the format, he has indulged in 87 matches as skipper and won 49 of those. It is no doubt the national record for his country. However, the team is about to be headed for the win in the ongoing ZIM vs BAN, 3 out of 3 ODI.
