LQ vs PZ Match Analysis and Review:
Lahore Qalandar has qualified for the Playoff for the first time in the 5 editions of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). In the last 4 seasons, Lahore Qalandars hasn’t any luck. They were unable to qualify for the playoffs.
This season Lahore Qalandars had an excellent comeback in the game, and they will try to win the PSL 2020 trophy. They are looking in excellent form their star player Ben Dunk has rejoined the team and is looking forward to winning the PSL trophy this year.
The same cannot be said of Peshawar Zalmi, who has been involved in a topical campaign. Daren Sammy stepped down from the captain’s position to take over as a coach, experiencing initial success before the team’s form faded.
The 4th seed of the playoffs showed the harmful effects of the pandemic of so many games that they were left without foreign players when they finished their regular season. They were sorely missing the likes, particularly the batting side, of Tom Banton, Liam Livingstone, Lewis Gregory, Carlos Brathwaite, and Liam Dawson with an inability to finish what was supposed to be a relatively simple chase.
Time will tell whether the number of local Pakistani replacements can plugging numerous holes or whether the Sultans’ all-round depth will leave Zalmi inundated and unable to keep their heads above the water to reach the final.
