The pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been ruled out for the rest of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020) amidst his hip injury he faced in the last game of the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Although the player retried but was limp off the field.
As he was the commanding factor on-field while considering the pace-line of the Orange army, the SRH might be suffering a big blow on losing him from the squad. The skipper, David Warner will be looking for the best possible alternative for him. There are some considerable names such as T Natarajan, Khaleel Ahmed, Basil Thampi, and Siddarth Kaul but none of them match the versatility of Bhuvneshwar.
Notably, the paceman has grabbed three wickets in four matches at an economy rate of 6.98. Already, SRH are at one of the lowest positions, his absence might make them suffer a bit more.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar ruled out for the entire IPL 2020
A representative of the health care department of SRH said:
“Bhuvi will not be able to take further part in this year’s tournament as he has been ruled out with a hip injury. A big blow for sure as he is someone who leads the bowling unit and is also an integral part of the leadership group on the ground.”
On the other hand, the Delhi Capitals (DC) are going through a similar condition as they have lost their leg-spinner Amit Mishra, who was going pretty fine for them.
According to the reports, the player has already signed replacements with Jason Roy, Chris Woakes, Daniel Sams, and Anrich Nortje respectively. He was initially out of the playing XI of the IPL 2020 but was called back as Ravichandran Ashwin suffered an injury. Even after the off-spinner was able to get featured in the match, Mishra was prioritized over him.
The incident happened in DC’s last game played against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as Mishra ended up injuring his finger.
