The Pakistan Tour of South Africa 2021 was originally scheduled for October 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the Pakistan tour to South Africa in April 2021. The men’s team will play three ODIs and four T20Is from 2nd April to 16th April. As a successful series of T20Is and tests is as follows the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announces that Pakistan will visit South Africa in April.
Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the Pakistan team will visit South Africa before visiting Zimbabwe for two-match test series and three T20Is. The Pakistan team will tour Zimbabwe in October 2021.
Pakistan will depart for Johannesburg on March 26, after completing the quarantine period the first match of the ODI series is to be played on April 2. The 2nd ODI is to be played on April 4 and the 3rd and the last ODI is on April 7, 2021. After the ODI Series, a four-match T20I Series is also scheduled which is to be played from 10-16 April.
When South Africa toured Pakistan for 2 test matches and 3 T20Is Pakistan whitewashed the South African team. The South African team faced this heavy loss by its bad fielding and bad performance of the batsman.
The youngsters Muhammad Rizwan gave the best performance of his career as he held so many records in that tour of South Africa to Pakistan. He became the 1st Pakistani wicketkeeper to hit a hundred in T20Is. Second Pakistani batsman to score a hundred in T20Is after Ahmed Shehzad. He became the 2nd Pakistani to score a hundred in all three formats; ODI, Test, T20I. The only Pakistani player to have the most number of sixes (7) in a T20I game. The 5th wicketkeeper in the world to score a hundred in T20I. 1st player to smash a hundred at Gaddafi Stadium in T20I and 2nd wicket-keeping batsman in the world to score a T20I hundred.
The Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) will begin from the mid of April that will affect the South African team as some players from the South Africa side are committed to IPL franchises.
