AUS vs IND Match Analysis and Review
After being bundled out after 36 in the second inning of the 1st Test, India made the ultimate comeback by claiming a convenient 8-wicket win at the MCG in the second test.
The changes made to the team worked wonders, and skipper Ajinkya Rahane shone with the bat as well as the captain. Rahane’s 112-run innings allowed India to take charge after the first innings.
Ashwin continued his impressive form with the ball in hand, and so did Jasprit Bumrah. Debutant Mohammed Siraj was perfect and confident. T Natarajan took his place in the squad replacing Umesh Yadav who injured in the last match.
Meanwhile, Australia will be rubbing their batsmen’s indifferent form, especially the No.1-ranked test batsman Steve Smith. They are likely to be boosted by David Warner and Will Pucovski, and Joe Burns is set to be pulled from the team.
The positive that they might take from the MCG Test is the performance of young Cameron Green. Australia was stunned when India defeated them by eight wickets after bowling them out for 195 and 200. Despite the one innings in the 1st Test when India all out on just 36, the hosts were second best for a good part of the opening two matches.
