Liam Plunkett will not be participating in the upcoming edition of the Lankan Premier League (LPL 2020).
The news came out when a West Indies all-rounder Chris Gayle chose not to join the LPL this year due to some personal reasons yesterday. Chris Gayle and Liam Plunkett were supposed to join the former Indian all-rounders Irfan Pathan, Munaf Patel, Sri Lankan middle-order batsman Kusal Perera, and the T20 specialists Kusal Mendis and Nuwan Pradeep and others at Kandy Tuskers.

But Tuskers have now informed Gayle and Plunkett that they have chosen to leave the tournament.
On Wednesday the Kandy Tuskers Franchise tweeted that: “We are sad to announce that Chris Gayle will not be playing for us in this year’s LPL.”
Then today another bad news was tweeted by the Tuskers Franchise that. “We are also sad to announce that Liam Plunkett will also not be playing in this year’s LPL,”
Five teams will be participating in this year’s Lanka Premier League (LPL 2020). Dambulla Hawks, Galle Gladiators, Jaffna Stallions, Kandy Tuskers, and Colombo Kings. On November 26 Tuskers will face the Colombo Kings. All matches of LPL 2020 Play at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Hambantota.
