BRH vs MLR Match Analysis and Review:
Brisbane Heat was painfully close to winning four wins in a row in the BBL 10, but they were just short of ruling Sydney Sixers champions in a thrilling contest that went down to a final ball of the match. Skipper Chris Lynn was once again the star player on his side as he scored 56 runs on 44 balls, but with frequent wickets falling around him, the Heat did not put enough runs on the board as they have been bowled to 148. The bowling unit gave Brisbane every chance to get to the top, but their failure to remove Dan Christian proved to be decisive. As he slammed an undefeated 61 runs on 38 balls to lead the Sixers to victory.
Melbourne Renegades eventually managed to win as they put a stop to their losing streak in seven matches. They overcame Adelaide Strikers in a spectacular manner and hoped to build on that in this match. The Renegades looked into difficulties again as the Strikers made it to 136/1 in the 15th period, but the bowling unit rallied to limit their opponents to 177/7, and the batsmen responded properly to that late effort. Mohammad Nabi was thrilled in his final match before departing for international duty as he scored a match-winning 71* on just 41 deliveries and in an unbeaten fifth-wheel partnership of 68 with Jake Fraser McGurk (29*), the Renegades were able to get the job done with a lone ball remaining.
